Here in South Florida (SoFlo) during the months of April through October, you can expect rain every day. Most of the time it’s a 5-minute shower. Our motto in SoFlo is, “If you don’t like the weather wait five minutes.” Bring a rain jacket or poncho, there is an area to put your backpack or bags under the seat. SoFlo can also have severe storms if they are expected, your Guide determines that for safety if the trip should not be taken; you will receive a full refund. If, however, you choose not to go out on your own accord, there will be no refund.

There is standing water in the Everglades, which is the habitat for mosquitoes. While riding you will not have to worry about mosquitoes. While stopping or standing in foliage you will encounter some. Depending on the wet or dry season and air temperature will determine how bad they are. We give you the Blood SWAT Team report the night before. While touring on the airboat if you are on a 1.5 or more hour tour and you stop at the hardwood hammock, you will encounter mosquitoes while walking through the island.

There are no restrooms while touring. We recommend you try as best as possible to do your business at McDonald’s on 14670 SW 8th ST, Miami, FL 33184 if you are coming from the East. If you are coming from the West you can stop at the Miccosukee General Store.

Gratuities are always based on performance so if our guide “WOWS” you, tip them kindly. A general rule of thumb is 20% of cost of trip for excellent service, 18% of cost of trip for good service and 15% of cost of trip for a fair trip. We lowered our prices from our competitors so our guides could be tipped accordingly. Our slogan for service rendering… “If you liked your ride, please tip your guide!”.

This is the parents’ call. The airboat motors are a bit loud but we do provide headphones. Some of our wild friends visit us along the side of the boat and in the boat. Ages 7-4 are 50% of adult tickets, and 3 and under go free as they are considered a lap child, and must ride on a parent or guardians lap. Please know ALL children under the age of 1 year old, must be carried on a chest pack.

No, we do not provide lunch. If your tour is over the lunch hour, your guide will stop in an area for you all to enjoy your lunch. We recommend you bring your lunch.

In some areas, you will not have service. AT&T seems to be the best carrier for service out in the Everglades, from what we’ve experienced. But all venue locations vary on cell service.

Times can be customized to the best of our ability and availability. Areas of the ride are designated by
the National Park Service (NPS) and your guide. We do our best to give you the time and date of your selected tour. Please know we have a FINAL say in our schedules, due to logistics and equipment. (Meaning you could be rebooked to a different time and/or date if something arises.) For more information, please contact us. -
Yes, we can assist you in getting a room very close, in the comment section of the shopping cart add your request and our staff will email you with hotels nearby, or please call the office for further information.

Due to the fact we are a mobile tourism company, with the Everglades being 2.5 million acres, our venues start at different locations (varying on the season/ time of year you are touring.) We are also by appointment/reservation only. Below is a list of our venue and locations to help you map out your tour, we ask that you please DO NOT arrive at these venues unless you have booked a tour as we can not guarantee an opening!

The Everglades has seasonal and environmental allergens. Please come prepared with EPI Pens and inhalers. The most concerning health-related issues are diabetes and heart disease, please let your guide know of these conditions prior to starting your tour. Dehydration can happen very quickly here in So-Flo, we provide you with water on ALL tours, and ask that you please stay hydrated. Let your guide know of any onset symptoms or conditions you may be experiencing while touring.

Some touring venues will vary, for the airboat tour you can wear what you feel comfortable in as you will not get wet or muddy, but please keep in mind you will be in direct sunlight the entire time. Take A Walk tours depending on the season you could be in water/mud anywhere from your ankle to mid-thigh, this could also go for your Swamp Buggy tour if your guide decides to walk through the Big Cypress. Please come prepared with clothing and shoes you do not mind getting dirty and a pair of change of clothes.

A minimum of 50% deposit is due upon booking for private tours only. 100% is due upon booking ANY semi-private tour. (please know it is case by case for canceling tours due to flight delays and emergencies). All cancellations taking place less than 48 hours of the time of the tour, you will lose your deposit and no future credits will be given. If you have purchased a special or coupon through the Internet, ENT will honor and apply the paid value of the coupon/special towards the new cost of the re-booked trip. If you simply need to just rebook your tour for a different time or date, please call or email the office. Please know it is case by case for canceling tours due to flight delays and emergencies.
